Sadly, on June 2, 2010, our beautiful Norway Maple was felled, & will be missed, leaving quite a few large pieces, #ing 8 - 10 {approximately 2'.75 -3.25' x 3.25 '}. I'm thinking that'd be a good size for a variety of goods, however I'm not sure were to find were to find someone to take this beautiful material that would be interested in using this unblemished, I believe nicely noted wood.
Apparently whatever killed the tree started in the root systems, as the tree died rapidly from the canopy,{top}, there was no apparent rot , the wood was clean & solid. If you're interested, or may know of someone who would be interested I'd appreciate knowing ASAP. I'm in the Hartford, Ct area. I've had an offer from someone to come split, & take the wood. But this just feels far too sad, almost tragic. I'd rather see this beautiful tree have a second chance - a reincarnation if you will ! Any help would be appreciated -- for the soul my beautiful old Senior Norway Maple. Sincerely, Kathleen D. Daly
